Its a great App

I am able to communicate with current and potential customers in a safe and secure way. Couldnt ask for a better app.

This app works for me and it is helpful especially when you travel to reply to clients and freelancers

Unable to login

What a lousy app! Unable to login as the app says server unable to fetch user details even after Im able to login to desktop site.

Worst messaging app

App struggles to connect to the internet using mobile data. App only able to connect to the internet using Wifi.

Just started using it and I feel like it will really pay off to receive job notifications faster.

Constantly crashes

The all is already limited to showing only messages (no way to edit jobs, release payments, or any of the other things that a user would want to do on the go). And even with limited functionality, the App is buggy at best.

This App is Useless

This app serves no purpose, other than scrolling through messages and chat rooms. There are no options to fund jobs, release payments or easily rehire a freelancer. For the life of me, I cant understand how this app was developed without these core elements. Its useless.

Cant upload docs

Whats the point if you can upload docs via messages

THE WORST - Terrible Product Dev Team

Having used Elance since 2009, and exclusively used it to work with freelancers and never as a freelancer, I combined my Elance and Upwork accounts and can no longer use this app to interact with my freelancers. I can only now use it as a freelancer, which my account has never done once, ever. Upwork? Nope Downwork - as in if youd like to drag your project down with terrible tools, choose Downwork!

Wow. This app took a step back.

The version before this app was a good fit for me. I was okay that I had to hire freelancers on the website and I can use the app to chat. Fine. I get it. This latest update doesnt show me the messages even though I get the notifications. That makes this app useless.

Making it hard to work with freelancers

Crashes non stop. As a provider of freelance work I expect to easily access information about projects, deliverables, etc. If I need to chat with someone there are many other tools, which I suspect most people use. But to manage work with this app is extremely difficult and provides very little value. Hire some freelancers to fix it.

Not working properly

I can log in to upwork with my account but if I use this app it says unable to retrieve information - contact support.

Password crash!

Cannot access the app. Password does not work even though its the correct password.

Its Ok for messaging but not managing projects

I give this app a 2, because like their desktop service/site it just misses on the obvious. Basically, all you can do on this app is message. While this is helpful its very limiting. You should at least be able to see contracts and deal with escrows, fund releases and milestones. Now the full reason for a 2 is that there are general usage and organizing issues with the Upwork tools and services. Whats not helpful, both on the app and on the desktop, is the whole Jobs/contracts. Why not just put everything under jobs? The most frustrating thing about Upwork, besides their lack of support, is that everything is so disorganized. Example, the contracts versus jobs, you cant go into one place and see all aspects of a "job" project in one nice and tidy place. You have messages all jumbled with all the other projects, you have to jump out to get to milestones, work diaries, etc... It just seems logical to organize all elements of a job together. When Im viewing a job I want to be able to see only the messages of that job, tabs/links/buttons, right there on the page so that you can manage the other aspects of the job, such as fund/release, add milestones, work diaries/time sheets, etc... Things are just disconnected and buried. The freelancers I work with have also voiced their dissatisfaction with how Upwork is operating. This app is just an extension of the poor workflow and organization that Upwork displays on their desktop service. I hope they eventually see the light and make the changes needed. Maybe they should hire some of the freelancers using their site to get it turned around.
