Bad app, that simple

Client of ODesk (now UpWork) for 5 years. Heavy user. Quite disheartening that they havent been able to create an app enabling to hire, review screenshots, etc. Just a simple messenger, quite useless (emails do most often). Wake up UpWork.

Needs minor improvements

The app displays red messages as grey and unread as white. In most messengers, its the opposite. Very weird! The app also asked for my work status but I am an employer. The app spams push notifications when it glitches.

Completely broken

I get the same notification, of a weeks old messages, continously dozens of times. Completely unusable app

Frequently gets disconnected.

Really bad app. Has only messaging capability and that too frequently gets disconnected cannot reach server.

Full of glitches

You guys shouldve waited until everything worked and was complete before opening the new upwork company instead of opening a half working company. As freelancers, where this is one of the ways we create our income, its very irresponsible for you to create such a bad platform for your clients to use where they have a hard time to find or even speak with their prospects. With that being said, the app has planted of glitches and is extremely annoying to use, it always shows notifications from jobs you cancelled on your computer and wont allow you to remove them. If you arent connected and you send a message, it will tell you the messaged has failed to send, then if you send it again it will show that youve sent it twice. I literally sent a message to a client once 5 times, I looked like an idiot. Just because there is no way of knowing whether it worked when I tried to send it. Please fix everything.

Disgusting 20-minute delay

I am not receiving push notifications to my lock screen when a freelancer Im working with messages me. I do get a nice email notification 20 minutes after.... Because you know, its almost 2016 and we need that 20 minute delay, or else servers. Or something.

Simplifying my life

I love the app. I am responding to clients and potential clients much faster and getting more jobs because of it.

Great for messaging but....

Great for communication with freelancers but I wish they made the app not just for messaging but also for other functionalities, like viewing freelancer profiles, posting jobs, hiring etc., so that you can get things done on the App. It a bit disappointing that you can only message but I would still give it a 4 because the App itself is pretty well-designed and not glitchy.

Need for it to do something

Need another messaging app like the World needs more Co2. Need to see it do something more useful. How about adding job status and funding releases?

Bugs. Decent app though.

I have had this app for a couple of months but the problem I keep having no matter how many updates is blank cells with the client name. There are cells that show the message preview in the detail view cell label but another that has the same clients name but nothing else. Some times there are 2-3 mimics. Also. Would it be possible to delete messages to clear up the tableview? It doesnt have to affect the up work messages. Just "hide" it on the app. Once youre done with a client that is. In summary - Delete cells. Thats all.

Well that was useless

I am now deleting this app as you only have access to the inbox. I cannot even find anywhere else an upwork app that allows you to browse the jobs which should be the first priority.
